Michal Plutnar of the Czech Republic didn’t exactly endear himself to officials during Saturday’s World Junior Championships game against Canada.

The defenseman was not pleased with Canada’s Connor McDavid for taking a shot at the Czech Republic net after time had expired in the second period. Plutnar skated over to the Team Canada star to show just how unhappy he was with the late shot, but a linesman was already there in an attempt to intervene.

Plutnar kept his eyes on his target the entire time, however, completely ignoring the linesman that was standing in front of McDavid, and as a result, he took the linesman down with a crushing blow. Leading with his forearm, Plutnar sent the unlucky official to the ice with a hit that he’ll certainly be feeling tomorrow.

Miraculously, Plutnar only received a two-minute minor for roughing on the play as the officials ruled that the contact was incidental, but he might not be receiving any calls his way for the remainder of the tournament.
