Devin McCourty has officially been diagnosed with a concussion.
That explains the safety’s absence from practice on Tuesday. The Patriots released a projected practice report on Wednesday, since they took Christmas day off. McCourty and rookie wide receiver Josh Boyce (ankle) were the only players who are listed as non-participants.
McCourty left Sunday’s game against the Ravens after tackling tight end Ed Dickson in the third quarter. McCourty wobbled as he came to his feet. He was replaced by rookie Duron Harmon.
Cornerback Kyle Arrington (groin), tackle Marcus Cannon (ankle), cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (knee/shoulder), wide receiver Aaron Dobson (foot), linebacker Dane Fletcher (groin), safety Steve Gregory (finger/knee), tackle Nate Solder (concussion), linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee), tackle Will Svitek (ankle), wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) and running back Shane Vereen (groin) were listed as limited participants in the projected practice report.
Vereen left Sunday’s game in the first quarter after pulling up on a deep route. Gregory and linebacker Dont’a Hightower briefly came out of the game. Hightower was not listed with an injury.
Wide receiver Danny Amendola (groin), quarterback Tom Brady (right shoulder), tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (knee) and cornerback Aqib Talib (hip) were listed as full participants.
For the Bills, quarterback E.J. Manuel was limited with a knee injury.
