Ex-Quarterback Everett Golson Re-Admitted to Notre Dame, Will Be Eligible for Spring 2014

Everett GolsonEverett Golson has gotten his academics together and is on the comeback trail at Notre Dame.

The former Fighting Irish quarterback was re-admitted to the school on Friday, and he intends to be ready to participate in the football team’s spring practices, according to ESPN.com. Golson was suspended by the school for academic reasons in May, but vowed to return to the team for the 2014 season.

In 2012, Golson started 11 games, completing better than 58 percent of his passes for 2,405 yards with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions, leading his team to the National Championship game against Alabama. He will return to the team as a redshirt junior and will not be allowed to practice with the Fighting Irish during their preparations for the New Era Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers.
