Jadeveon Clowney has a sense of humor.

The South Carolina defensive end has been stopped by police for speeding twice in December, most recently on Dec. 26 for driving more than 25 mph over the speed limit in a 55 mph zone. The excuse he gave to the officers for his speeding violation was that he was late for the team’s bus at Williams-Brice Stadium.

On Friday, Clowney tweeted a picture of himself with the officers that pulled him over for speeding, with all three of them smiling.

After a somewhat disappointing 2013 season for the Gamecocks, Clowney is expected to declare for the 2014 NFL Draft. He’s projected to be one of the first defensive players selected.
