Jarome Iginla Called Back to Ice for Curtain Call, Capping Successful Return to Calgary (Video)

Jarome Iginla had already been honored by the Calgary Flames with a lengthy pregame tribute Tuesday night, but his Bruins teammates weren’t about to let the winger leave his former home without allowing the fans one last chance to recognize him.

After being announced as the third star of Boston’s 2-1 win, Iginla left the bench and gave a quick wave to the crowd. But when he went to return to the dressing room, Zdeno Chara blocked his path, instead sending Iginla out on one final victory lap around the rink at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Flames faithful, which included Iginla’s parents, gave the former Calgary captain a proper sendoff, ushering him off the ice with cheers of  “Iggy, Iggy.”
