Emotions were running high on Wednesday night when the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers met in an early-season showdown featuring the Eastern Conference’s top two teams.

During a timeout in the first quarter, Heat point guard Mario Chalmers was saying something to LeBron James, and at the end of the conversation, the reigning NBA MVP angrily stood up and got in Chalmers’ face. Luckily for the Heat, veteran forward Udonis Haslem pulled James back before he got too close to his point guard. Later in the game, James was seen apologizing to Chalmers for his outburst.

Miami would go on to defeat Indiana 97-94.
