Videos of servicemen and women returning home always warm the heart, but they hold even more significance around the holidays.

This latest one comes from a basketball game between Arizona and Southern University, where members of the Campbell family thought they would be recognized for Master Sgt. Chris Campbell‘s military service.

Campbell’s wife, son and daughter were introduced during a timeout, and the Jumbotron played a video message from Campbell, who had been stationed in southwest Asia for six months. The Campbells weren’t expecting their husband and father to be home for the holidays, but they were overjoyed when he jogged out of the tunnel and surprised them at midcourt.

The top-ranked Wildcats did their part to make the family’s night even better, rolling to a 69-43 win.

Check out the touching reunion in the video below, with a hat tip to College Basketball Talk.
