College basketball teams must travel with a stable of extra sneakers, because Nik Stauskas did not hesitate to discard one of his Tuesday night.
The Michigan guard lost a shoe underneath the basket during the Wolverines’ Big 10/ACC Challenge matchup with Duke. But instead of handing it to a team manager or simply leaving it there to put back on at the next stoppage, Stauskas whipped it off the court and straight into a horde of Cameron Crazies.
It was the beginning of a long night for Stauskas. Already hobbled with an ankle sprain, the sophomore was largely invisible throughout the game, posting just four points (all on free throws), three rebounds and four assists in a 79-69 loss.
He did get his shoe back, though, and was even offered a few more by this blazer-wearing bro, who looked very eager to help.
