It’s apparently going to take more than an earthquake to ice the Oklahoma State kicker.

While the Cowboys and Sooners were duking it out in the battle of Bedlam on Saturday afternoon, they got a little taste of their rivalry series’ name. As Oklahoma State’s Ben Grogan was lining up for a 41-yard field goal attempt during the second quarter, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck just north of Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma’s defense definitely got an assist from Mother Nature on the play, but the ground moving beneath him proved to be no issue for Grogan, who drilled the field goal to give the Cowboys a 10-7 lead.

Oklahoma eventually went on to take the Bedlam Series, wining 33-24, and spoiling Oklahoma State’s Big 12 championship and BCS bowl game hopes in the process.
