Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron is one of the finest two-way players in the NHL and not afraid to play a physical game, but you rarely see him drop the gloves.

But after a second-period incident with Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers in Saturday’s game in Boston, the B’s forward decided to engage in the first regular-season fight of his career. It was his first bout since Game 1 of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals, when he fought Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Malkin. His first career fight was against Montreal’s Josh Gorges in the 2009 playoffs.
