The Red Sox gave their fans the perfect Christmas gift roughly two months ago when Boston captured its third World Series title in 10 years. The club still wanted to celebrate the holiday on Wednesday, though, so Red Sox Nation was treated to quite the tweet.

The Red Sox’ official Twitter account sent out an image featuring silhouettes of the players’ famous 2013 beards. The bearded silhouettes were arranged to form a Christmas tree, with Santa Claus sitting at the top of the heap.

The image not only came with an accompanying “Merry Christmas,” but it was a silly reminder of how truly amazing this past season was for Boston. The Red Sox were a team built on character, and the beards were a perfect reflection of the club’s camaraderie.

Plus, nothing says the holidays like a boatload of facial hair, right?
