Roy Halladay is calling it a career.
The two-time Cy Young winner and eight-time All-Star is set to announce his retirement after 16 major league seasons, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman. Heyman also reported that Halladay will sign a one-day contract with Toronto, allowing him to retire as a member of the Blue Jays.

Halladay spent his first 11 full seasons in Toronto, posting 15 or more wins six times and finishing four campaigns with an ERA below 3.00. He was traded to Philadelphia after the 2009 season, where he helped pitch the Phillies to consecutive National League East titles before seeing his effectiveness drop off in 2012. A shoulder injury limited Halladay to 13 starts this season, during which he posted a 6.82 ERA that was his highest since 2000.
The 36-year-old retires with a career record of 203-105 and an ERA of 3.38.
