Even a surgical procedure can’t stop The Flyin’ Hawaiian from hanging loose.

Shane Victorino, who battled various ailments throughout the 2013 season, underwent successful nerve release surgery on his right thumb earlier this week. It was a relatively minor procedure, as the Red Sox issued a press release stating that the outfielder is expected to be ready for spring training.

Victorino clearly wasn’t satisfied with just a press release, though. The gritty veteran wanted to let his fans know personally that “every little thing is gonna be all right,” so he tweeted out a photo of himself giving his trademark shaka sign — in a cast, of course.

Check out the awesome photo below, and maybe even wish Victorino a speedy recovery via the Twitterverse.
