Tyler SeguinTyler Seguin is still suffering from concussion-like symptoms and will miss the Dallas Stars’ game in Chicago against the defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks on Tuesday.

But the sniper shouldn’t be out of the lineup for much longer, according to the team’s website.

“He’s doing well. He did really well [Monday]. He’ll be one guy that could skate tomorrow and there’s a possibility he could play in Toronto,” said Dallas head coach Lindy Ruff. “It’s really encouraging.”

The 21-year-old center also missed Sunday’s game against the Oilers, which the Stars lost 3-2 in a shootout. He suffered his injury on Friday when the Stars lost at home 2-1 in an 11-round shootout to the Blackhawks.

Cody Eakin is expected to take Seguin’s spot on the Stars’ first line in the middle of talented wingers Jamie Benn and Alex Chiasson.

Seguin has been one of Dallas’ best players in the first third of the 2013-14 season. He ranks first on the team in goals (12), second in assists (11) and second in points (23).

The Stars are in 12th place in the Western Conference with 28 points.
