Stevan RidleyStevan Ridley‘s fumbling issues have reached a critical juncture.

The Patriots running back traveled with the team to Houston but was declared inactive for Sunday’s game. Ridley has fumbled in three straight games. After his first-quarter fumble against the Broncos, Ridley stayed on the bench for the rest of the game. LeGarrette Blount also fumbled in that game. He was also benched for the remainder of the action.

Shane Vereen and Brandon Bolden will likely see the bulk of the action at running back with Ridley out. Bolden has 51 carries for 263 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Aaron Dobson, Alfonzo Dennard, Michael Hoomanawanui, Marcus Cannon, Steve Beauharnais and Jake Bequette were also declared inactive for New England.
