Taylor ReedFOXBORO, Mass. — There were two new faces in the New England Patriots’ locker room Monday, after linebacker Taylor Reed and offensive tackle R.J. Mattes signed to the practice squad.

Reed worked out with the Patriots in September and spent time on the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad this season. The linebacker went undrafted out of SMU in 2013. Mattes spent training camp with New England before being released with an injury settlement in August. The 6-foot-6, 315-pound offensive lineman went undrafted out of N.C. State.

The Patriots released rookie offensive tackle R.J. Dill from the practice squad. They still have one practice-squad spot remaining.
