Turnover in Attacking Zone by Bruins Leads to Sabres’ First-Period Shorthanded Goal (Video)

The Bruins gave up the first goal for the 14th time this season on Thursday night when the Buffalo Sabres scored a first-period shorthanded goal.

A turnover at the blue line gave Sabres forward Brian Flynn a clear path toward the Bruins net, and he capitalized on the scoring chance with an impressive shot that beat B’s goalie Chad Johnson high-glove side.

Boston bounced back with a much better second period to go into the final frame tied 2-2 after a pair of goals from Brad Marchand.
