The Boston Bruins have more depth on the blue line than any other team in the NHL, and this has been a huge asset for the team as injuries have forced several veterans out of the lineup this season.
The trio of Dougie Hamilton, Torey Krug and Matt Bartkowski has not only given the B’s much-needed depth on the back end, it’s also provided the team with a level of speed, offensive skill and skating ability that it hasn’t had in many years.
What’s most impressive about these young defenseman is that they are getting ice time late in games when the score is close, which shows how much trust Claude Julien has in them.
