Aaron Dobson Remains Absent From Patriots Practice; Status for Saturday’s Matchup With Colts in Doubt

Aaron DobsonFOXBORO, Mass. — It’s looking extremely unlikely that New England Patriots wide receiver Aaron Dobson will suit up Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Dobson has not practiced the last two weeks after reinjuring his foot in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills. The rookie wideout was the lone Patriots player absent from practice on Wednesday.

New England held practice on the Gillette Stadium game field. Players got a reprieve from the cold on Tuesday when head coach Bill Belichick let the team practice in the Dana-Farber Field House. They were not so lucky on Wednesday, as temperatures were still in the teens.

If Dobson cannot go on Saturday, as expected, rookie wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins would likely take his place as a starter.
