The second period of Thursday’s Kings-Bruins game at Staples Center was an exciting 20 minutes of hockey that included three goals and a fight between Boston defenseman Adam McQuaid and Los Angeles forward Kyle Clifford.

The bout started after Clifford delivered a big hit on Bruins center David Krejci along the team benches. McQuaid stuck up for his teammate and challenged the Kings forward to drop the gloves.

It was McQuaid’s third fight in the last three games and his team-leading seventh of the season.
