Berkshire Bank Faceoff: Jordan Caron Back In Bruins’ Lineup

Jordan CaronBoston Bruins forward Jordan Caron hasn’t seen a ton of ice time this season, but it appears he’ll make two appearances in a row.

According to pregame warmups, Caron will be back in the lineup on Monday night against the New York Islanders. The forward played Saturday afternoon in place of Ryan Spooner who was dealing with an illness. Bruins coach Claude Julien said after morning skate that Spooner was healthy enough to return, but the B’s are going in a different direction apparently.

Julien also indicated center Chris Kelly is likely to return Tuesday against the Florida Panthers. Kelly has been out since Dec. 7 with a fractured fibula, which opened a spot in Boston for Spooner. The young center’s speed has been an asset in the 22 games he’s played this season. Spooner has racked up 11 assists in his time with Boston this season.

Another lineup change for the Bruins against the Islanders will see Chad Johnson between the pipes for the Bruins. He’ll be opposed by Kevin Poulin.

Here are the projected lines for Bruins-Islanders down on Long Island.
