One of the few Celtics who can be encouraged with his play lately is Kris Humphries. He might not be so encouraged after this.
The Celtics lost their third straight game to begin their five-game road trip and their sixth straight overall with a 111-105 defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. It was a better all-around effort for the Celtics than the previous game, when they were run out of the gym in Denver while giving up a season-high 129 points.
At least Humphries didn’t end up in a poster in that game, though.
Humphries, who missed the Nuggets game with a sprained ankle, was in the wrong place when Clippers forward Blake Griffin came barreling down the lane in the third quarter Wednesday. Griffin, who has tried to dunk on Humphries before with varying degrees of success, threw down a vicious Space Jam dunk while drawing the foul on Humphries.
