Brad Marchand seems to finally have his swagger back.

After a brutal start to the season, the Boston Bruins winger has been on fire the past week. He tallied two goals — plus another in a shootout — in a loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday, and he scored one of the most magnificent goals of the Bruins’ season the following afternoon.

With the B’s playing shorthanded midway through the first period of a game against the Los Angeles Kings, Marchand took a feed from Patrice Bergeron in the neutral zone and skated in on Kings goalie Jonathan Quick. Though he was the only Bruin against four L.A. skaters, Marchand fooled defenseman Drew Doughty with a deke and got a shot off on Quick.

The netminder made the save with relative ease, but none of the five Kings players pounced on the rebound. Instead, Marchand corralled the puck, stickhandled around Anze Kopitar and fired one into the net to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead. It was the fifth goal in four games for the pesky winger, who lit the lamp just 10 times over his first 45 games this season.
