Bruins Reassign Matt Fraser to Providence

matt fraser nick folignoThe Boston Bruins have assigned forward Matt Fraser to Providence, the team announced Sunday.

With Shawn Thornton and Loui Eriksson back in the lineup for the Bruins, the club had already sent winger Justin Florek back to Providence on Saturday to make room for the pair, and Fraser will now be joining him.

In 14 games with the B’s this season, Fraser has netted two goals, including his first goal as a Bruin, which came Dec. 23 against the Nashville Predators.

The forward has appeared in 23 games with the P-Bruins, registering 16 goals and five assists while accumulating 23 penalty minutes.
