The Boston Bruins’ penalty kill has struggled over the last few weeks and ranks 12th in the NHL with an 82.8 percent success rate.

But the B’s came up with a clutch penalty kill in the first period of Thursday night’s game against the Dallas Stars when they found themselves in a five-on-three situation. Boston prevented Dallas from opening the scoring and ended up taking a 1-0 lead into the second intermission on a David Krejci goal.
