Before the Boston Bruins busted the game wide open in the third period Monday night, the New York Islanders put up a heck of a fight.
Monday night provided a back-and-forth matchup for most of two periods, but a save Chad Johnson made on a Lubomir Visnovsky shot might have swayed the momentum back to the Bruins. Johnson made a terrific left pad save on a shot that the Islanders defenseman rifled off from the high slot.
Johnson made 34 saves on the night and improved his record to 9-3 with the win.
