Smokey Bear would have some choice words for Chipper Jones after his most recent actions.

Jones, whose love for the outdoors is well-documented, certainly angered Mother Nature as he was trying to clean out his fireplace. The retired Atlanta Braves third baseman saw his uneventful night doing chores around his Georgia home turn into one of the most hectic times he’s experienced in his post-playing days.

The future Hall of Famer was innocently dumping out the ashes when he accidentally lit the woods around his house on fire. Jones tweeted about the incident, a sure sign that the forest fire wasn’t too severe, but a picture his girlfriend captured would suggest otherwise.

Remember, Chipper, only YOU can prevent chore-induced forest fires.
