David Krejci Says It’s ‘Pretty Cool’ to Be Named to Czech Republic Olympic Team, Honored to Represent Country (Video)

David Krejci received some good news before the Bruins’ West Coast swing got underway, but it turns out the forward was well aware he would be named to the Czech Republic Olympic hockey team.

Although it wasn’t an unexpected move by any means, Krejci learned of his fate about two weeks before the official announcement was made Monday. Krejci said he received a call from his coach saying the team would love to have him, but he kept the honor under wraps until Monday.

The Bruins’ top-line center will be heading to Sochi for his second Olympic tournament after representing his country in Vancouver in 2010.

Check out the above video to hear more from Krejci.
