Getting caught delivering a cheap shot is never a good look. It looks even worse, however, when you whiff on the hit, fly face-first into the boards and get laughed at by the entire arena.
That’s what happened here, when one player on the red team skates nearly halfway across the ice to throw an after-the-whistle check, only to have his opponent nonchalantly step out of the way at the last moment.
The result: a sore face and a seriously bruised ego.
