When basketball players leap out of bounds to save a basketball, the last thing on their mind is scoring.

The usual play in that situation is to throw the ball off of an opponent to retain possession, but for one Iowa high school player, it was a way to earn his team two points.

During a recent game between Hinton High School and Sioux City West High School, Logan Jurgensmeier threw the ball back into play as he was falling out of bounds, but instead of going off an opponent, the ball bounced up into the basket. It was a stroke of luck for the Hinton senior, who led his team to victory with 31 points, according to the Sioux City Journal.
