The 2013 Major League Baseball Hall of Fame vote controversy spread even to the intellectual world of TV game shows.

On a recent episode of Jeopardy!, host Alex Trebek gave the show’s three contestants the relatively softball question; “354 wins did not overcome the controversy as this ex-Red Sox pitcher didn’t make the Hall of Fame cut in 2013.” The contestants were tasked with coming up with a response — in the form of a question — and they did just that.

Each contestant gave an answer:

“Who is Mark McGuire?”

“Who is Pete Rose?”

“Who is Curt Schilling?”

Wrong, wrong and wrong. The correct answer, of course, is Roger Clemens.
