Lt. Col. Cotina Jenkins-Sellers returned from an eight-month deployment in Kuwait this week, and she wanted to make her reunion with her 13-year-old son, Derrick, extra special.
Derrick plays basketball for his middle school, so during a game Thursday, the referees intentionally called a fake technical foul on the opposing head coach, leaving Derrick all alone to shoot two free throws. As he shot, his mother walked onto the court to surprise him, and his reaction is one that will bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your face.
