One British fan received a jarring introduction to the National Basketball Association on Thursday.

The Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks traveled across the pond to play a game at London’s O2 Arena, and Nets guard Joe Johnson, who otherwise played one of his best games of the season, airmailed a pass into the stands late in the third quarter.

The heave was intended for Alan Anderson, but it instead bounced right off the head of an unsuspecting fan, who happened to be walking by at precisely the wrong moment. The man laughed it off, though, and Johnson regained his composure to score 29 points on 11-of-15 shooting in a 127-110 win for Brooklyn.
