Nike Unveils New Fleece-Lined Super Bowl Gear for Players, Coaches (Photos)

In case you’ve been living under a rock all season, this year’s Super Bowl will be held in New Jersey, where it tends to be very, very cold in February.

MetLife Stadium doesn’t have a retractable roof to combat the elements, but the players and coaches down on the field will be fully bundled up in new cold-weather Nike gear.

The official apparel provider of the NFL unveiled some of its plans for the big game on Thursday, including gloves, compression underwear lined with fleece and futuristic-looking sideline jackets stuffed with goose down.

Some of this stuff could have come in handy last weekend in Green Bay, where wind chills dropped well below zero during the San Francisco 49ers’ wild card-round win over the Packers.
