Packers Giving Out 70,000 Handwarmers, Free Coffee to Help Fans Deal With Brutal Weather at Lambeau Field

49ers Packers FootballIt was 5 degrees at kickoff in Green Bay on Sunday, and the temperatures were only expected to drop as the game went on. So, the Packers decided to help their faithful fans cope with the frigid temperatures.

The Packers gave out 70,000 handwarmers to help keep fans at Lambeau Field warm on Sunday, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. The organization was also offering two free cups of coffee or hot chocolate to fans during the game.

The San Francisco 49ers were in Green Bay for a wild-card showdown with the Packers on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to drop as low as negative-20 degrees in Green Bay on Sunday night, which could have a major impact on the game.

The winner will travel to Carolina to play the Panthers in the divisional round next Sunday.
