New England Patriots cheerleader Stephanie Petronelli appeared on the season premiere of American Idol on Wednesday, and the West Bridgewater, Mass., native sang well enough to earn an invite to Hollywood.

Though judge Harry Connick Jr. was not particularly impressed with Petronelli’s rendition of Grace Potter‘s “Paris (Ooh La La),” Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban gave her the thumbs-up. The 22-year-old now advances to the next round of competition, which will begin in February.

Petronelli has known her fate for months (her audition took place in early August), but the general public only found out this week, when the episode showing the Boston round of auditions aired for the first time.

Check out her performance in the video below.
