The Boston Red Sox have signed veteran starting pitcher Rich Hill to a minor league contract, per Joel Sherman of the New York Post.

Hill pitched in 40 games for the Red Sox from 2010 through 2012. He spent last season in Cleveland, where he posted a 1-2 record with a 6.28 ERA, a 1.78 WHIP, 51 strikeouts and 29 walks for the Indians. Left-handed batters hit just .238 against Hill in 2013.
The 33-year-old left-hander has a career record of 24-22, with a 4.74 ERA, 442 strikeouts and 221 walks in 464 and 2/3 innings.
Red Sox pitchers and catchers report to spring training in Fort Myers on Feb. 15.
