Former New Orleans Saints defensive back Darren Sharper was arrested Friday on felony charges, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office. The allegations reportedly stem from his connection to two sexual assaults in the past year, according to TMZ.

The five-time Pro Bowler, who was a prominent member of the Saints’ 2009 Super Bowl team, was booked in the Los Angeles County jail and was released on $200,000 bail.

Sharper played for the Packers, Vikings and Saints in fourteen seasons in the NFL and currently works for NFL Network.

Update: NFL Network has suspended Sharper indefinitely without pay, according to Pro Football Talk.
