New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist is really going out of his way to make sure he pays homage to the Yankees at the upcoming Stadium Series games that will be played at the famous ballpark.
We already know that Lundqvist is going to be wearing a Yankees-themed mask for the Stadium Series games, a mask that features photos of Yankees legends, but that won’t be his only tribute to the Bronx Bombers.
Paul Lukas, who is better-known as the man behind the Uni Watch blog, tweeted a picture of Lundqvist’s reported pads for the Yankee Stadium games on Friday. The pads are pinstriped like the Yankees’ timeless home uniforms.
