Richard Sherman made headlines with both his play on the field and his antics off it last weekend, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell doesn’t seem too happy about the latter.

Sherman raised eyebrows with his postgame rant after the Seattle Seahawks’ 23-17 win in last Sunday’s NFC Championship Game. Sherman’s rant was directed at San Francisco 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree, whom the All-Pro cornerback told to “shut it” and warned “don’t you ever talk about me” in an interview with FOX Sports’ Erin Andrews.

Goodell appeared on CBS This Morning on Thursday to discuss the NFL’s concussion care partnership with GE, but, naturally, the topic of Sherman came up as well, which drew an interesting response from the commissioner.

“No, I’m not cheering for that,” Goodell said, referring to Sherman’s comments. “[Sherman] is such a great young man. He is extremely well-spoken, does great things off the field, obviously a great player on the field. I want him to present himself in the best possible way and make sure that he is reflecting on himself and his family in a positive way.”
