Thanks to the generosity of Seattle’s 12th Man, Marshawn Lynch tasted the rainbow Saturday night.
The Seahawks running back and Skittles aficionado helped his team jump out to a 13-0 lead over the New Orleans Saints by scoring a 15-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. The crowd at CenturyLink Field didn’t think cheers were enough to show their appreciation for the play, so they responded in a thoughtful, although presumably painful, way.
Fans began showering Lynch and quarterback Russell Wilson with Skittles as the pair made its way to the sideline. Being pelted by hard pieces of candy can’t feel wonderful, but the Seahawks had to see this coming when they decided to sell the “Beast Burger” that comes with a side of Skittles for the NFC divisional-round playoff game.
