The possibility of a snow bowl at Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., is getting less probable by the day.

While there was once reasonable hope that the foolhardy decision to hold the NFL’s championship game outside and in the Northeast would lead to mountains of snow or at least some numbing temperatures, Sunday’s forecast continues to improve as the week goes on. In fact, the weather is looking as nice as can be expected for this time of year in lovely New Jersey. The chance of precipitation is down to just 10 percent during the day — and 0 percent at night, when the game will kick off.
