Patriots Broncos FootballThe New England Patriots’ Pro Bowlers are dropping like flies.

A day after cornerback Aqib Talib dropped out of the Pro Bowl because of a knee injury suffered during the AFC Championship Game, quarterback Tom Brady also has elected to bow out. Brady has been selected to nine Pro Bowls, but he hasn’t appeared in one of the games since the 2004 season.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith will replace Brady on the Pro Bowl roster, which is no longer split into AFC and NFC teams. The squads will be drafted by two captains, Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice, on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
