The crew from Lincoln High could be getting back together.

Spike Lee and Ray Allen have been talking about making a sequel to 1998’s He Got Game, and at least one fellow cast member is ready to take part. Unfortunately for Lee, it’s not Denzel Washington.

Boston Celtics assistant coach Walter McCarty, who played one of Jesus Shuttlesworth’s teammates in the original film, told Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald that he was “in” for a sequel. Allen is in, too, according to McCarty. No word on how Springfield native Travis Best feels or where in the world he is nowadays.

Don’t start standing in line for tickets just yet, though. Allen and McCarty both have told reporters that Washington, who would be vital to a successful sequel, has yet to come on board.
