Yasiel Puig has made a name for himself both on and off the baseball diamond, but it was his speeding arrest in December that really ruffled some feathers in the Dodgers clubhouse.

The organization said in a statement after Puig’s most recent arrest that it was “very disappointed” with his behavior and that the slip-ups are a “very serious issue” to them. In December, the young star was clocked going 110 mph in a 70 mph zone in his white Mercedes Benz on Interstate 75 in Florida and was arrested.

State trooper dashcam footage has surfaced of the arrest, and it shows an officer approaching Puig’s car and questioning Puig and his three passengers, one of whom is the baseball player’s mother. Upon learning Puig didn’t have a driver’s license on him, the officer asked Puig to get out of the car, handcuffed him and led him to the patrol car.

Puig can be heard repeatedly pleading with the officer in Spanish to let him go. The attempts were unsuccessful, as Puig was taken to the Collier County Jail and released later in the day on a “self cash bond,” according to the Naples Daily News.
