In addition to hosting the men’s hockey tournament at the 2014 Winter Games, the Bolshoy Ice Dome acts as a scoreboard for fans walking outside in the Olympic Park.

Yahoo! Sports’ Greg Wyshynski tweeted a picture of the Bolshoy Ice Dome roof flashing when Sweden scored its second goal of Wednesday’s preliminary round game against the Czech Republic.

Each host city normally has one or two venues that stand out from the rest. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, it was the water cube that drew rave reviews. In Sochi, the Bolshoy Ice Dome is the popular place to be, especially with the men’s hockey tournament getting underway on Wednesday.

The United States and Canada will begin their gold medals quests at the Bolshoy Ice Dome on Thursday.
