The Boston Red Sox’s road jerseys will undergo a makeover in 2014.

The Red Sox’s road jerseys, which have featured solid blue lettering since the 2009 season, now will feature red lettering with a blue outline. The Red Sox’s logo will remain on the left sleeve of the new jerseys.

If the Red Sox’s new threads look familiar, it’s because the team’s road jerseys featured red lettering from 1990-2008. The Sox also introduced alternate home (red) and road (blue) jerseys for Friday night games upon switching from red lettering to blue lettering before the 2009 campaign.

Dick’s Sporting Goods already is showcasing the new Red Sox road jerseys, so feel free to catch a glimpse below. Underneath the new uniform tops are the ones that were worn by Boston from 2009-2013.
