Brewers’ New Mascot Hank The Dog Runs In Famous Sausage Race (Video)

Hank the Ballpark Pup, the Milwaukee Brewers newest unofficial mascot, is proving to be the team’s most unexpected breakout star at spring training.

The team found the stray dog wandering around their training complex earlier this month, and after efforts to locate his owner failed, the Brewers welcomed him to the family. Naming him Hank after Hank Aaron, who began his career in Milwaukee, the pup has become the team’s most popular rookie in the month of February.

Hank’s popularity only continued to soar on Wednesday when the little guy made his debut in the Klement’s Sausage Race while wearing an awesome hot dog costume.

Hank didn’t do so hot in the race, but hey, it’s spring training for him too.
