Justin FlorekThe Boston Bruins made roster moves Friday, recalling forwards Justin Florek and Matt Lindblad from Providence. Both will be available for Friday’s practice at Ristuccia Arena.

Forwards Craig Cunningham and Alexander Khokhlachev were sent back to the American Hockey League in corresponding moves, meaning this is likely a case of the team wanting to give its young players some time with the big club before the Bruins’ Olympians return from Sochi.

Florek has played in three games for Boston this season, recording a goal and an assist. This is Lindblad’s first NHL call-up.

The Bruins are assured of having at least one representative in Sunday’s Olympic gold medal game, as Loui Eriksson and Sweden earned a spot with a win Friday over Finland in the semifinals. Another, Canada’s Patrice Bergeron, can join Eriksson in the final with a win over the United States.

All five B’s Olympians are expected to rejoin the team early next week. The team will resume its regular-season schedule Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres.
