Former Canadian Skier Annoyed With Stanley Cup’s Visit To Olympic House (Photos)

The coolest trophy in sports visited the Canada Olympic House on Monday, but not every Olympic athlete at the 2014 Winter Games was enthused to see the Stanley Cup in Sochi.

While the majority of Canadian Olympians jumped at the chance to hang out with Lord Stanley and take pictures with it, Brian Stemmle, a former alpine skier who represented Canada in four Winter Olympics, took the opportunity to express his displeasure with the trophy’s presence.

Stemmle was clearly in the minority with his stance, as figure skater Patrick Chan, women’s skeleton slider Mellisa Hollingsworth, the curling team and even Corey Perry, who won the Cup in 2007 with the Anaheim Ducks, stopped by to hang out with the trophy.
